Kent's vision is to see Valley continue to grow with a strong emphasis on Biblical preaching and teaching, worship, and local and global missions. Kent became Lead Pastor in 2008, and has a strong history with Valley Assembly. He first joined the staff as an Associate Pastor in 1993.
He married his wife Toni, a dental hygienist, in 1987 and they have two boys, Logan and Ethan. Together, they enjoy hiking, skiing, biking, and travel. He also enjoys reading and hanging out with friends.
Kent received a Bachelor’s Degree in Church Music from Northwest University, a Master’s Degree in Counseling from the University of Idaho, and a PhD in Socio-Economic Transformation from the University of Buckingham, UK, presenting his dissertation on transcultural team-building.
